The criteria to build relationship online with bloggers
Have you noticed the mutual understanding and successful relationships of a blogger with the other fellow bloggers?
You must have seen backlinks to a web page in several blog posts. This only happens if the blogger has established valuable relationships with other bloggers and understand how to value someone else’s content. Getting backlinks to your profile or blog is a helpful way to expand and reach out to a fairly new audience.

To give you an example, the detailed blog posts appeared on the popular website contain several inbound and outbound links. A smart blogger gives the link to some other blogger friends for the unique information he/she shares on their blogs. And, the cycle repeats. Isn’t this awesome?
Let’s talk about the important ways to connect with other bloggers in your niche.
I’ve specifically chosen 7 productive ways to build a successful relationship online with bloggers.
1)Facebook Groups – To be honest, I didn’t notice that Facebook groups could trigger social connections and helpful resources to help bloggers build relationships online. But, now I just love facebook groups. They are just not awesome but are purposely created to guide and help a number of bloggers.
Click here to join my facebook group ‘Bloggers Camp’ where we all participate in daily threads and help each other grow. It’s a free community to learn, and share insights.
From web designing to content solutions the groups provide immediate guidance to grow your blog. The experts, content creators, and designers are generous enough to share their secrets with the interested bloggers.
2)Quora – It is a social networking site established to highlight queries and the best answers.
I am in love with Quora.
You will find success stories, life hacks, advice, guidance, detailed answers, step by step tutorials and everything you’re looking for. It is also a platform where you can promote a blog post or create a connection with several other bloggers in your niche. The audience appreciates the appropriate answers and lets your profile grow. It boosts the interaction process rapidly.
3)Blog Commenting – A useful strategy to build connections and bring notable results. The idea to leave a thoughtful and engaging blog comment on several websites absolutely work. Leave only genuine comments, not a statement saying ‘Thankyou for the post’. Usually, long detailed educational comments are fast to boost a conversation with the blogger.

If you leave a real comment on a website, it will generally bring more traffic and followers to your blog. By posting quality comments, you will build a trustworthy relationship online with bloggers. A well-written comment aims at captivating readers attention toward an important topic.
4)Guest Posting – There is a lot of worth for guest posting. The guest post is not just being displayed on some high traffic website, but it helps in establishing a connection with the fellow bloggers.
You may invite someone to guest blog on your website and you can also write for someone’s else blog. It is just like to build a ‘give and take’ relationship.
In this manner, you can make a lasting relationship with the guest post author. Many times, the guest bloggers also work as collaborators for each other.

5)Use Twitter – Twitter is the microblogging site providing opportunities for bloggers, entrepreneurs to establish relationships online. It is a great popular site where people actually connect with each other.
Every time you use Twitter to mention or retweet the user receives a notification,“@Epifetweets has retweeted etc”. It works as a reminder for the blogger and he/she keeps the user in their sight.
I have found some expert bloggers on Twitter. Now, we often comment on each other blogs and share insights. Twitter is also fast as compared to other networks. Definitely, try twitter to find influencers and bloggers in the niche.

6)Social Shares – You will only build fruitful relationships online if you show an interest in sharing other’s content. For promoting a facebook page, it is important to share 80% other content and 20% your own content.
So, it’s highly important to collaborate with other bloggers in your niche and schedule posts for your page. It will help increase more followers and traffic to your website too.

7)Mention bloggers on your blog and show appreciation
If you realize that someone is genuinely interested in building a relationship by sharing your content on his/her page, appreciate them. When you think that the person knows well about certain blog posts then remember to quote them while writing the post. Give them a backlink. Also, send them an email and let them know you’ve mentioned their blog posts or any other resource on your blog.
As long as the blog posts stay up it will generate traffic to his website. Also, when you share the post on social media sites add them to know that you’ve mentioned their blog name or social profile in the blog posts.
The person would love to share or retweet the post to the followers 🙂
Conclusion
When it’s about making successful social connections, just be the real ‘You’. Be genuine and let the things coming to you. Whenever you notice that a user is making blog comments or sharing your content regularly then do return the favor by commenting on their blogs too.
Remember, it is a time-consuming process where you’ve to show some patience. But, good relationships don’t take time to trigger social shares and success.

I’m just learning about the Facebook groups and interacting there. My following on Pinterest is growing daily but my blog hasn’t shown any spikes in views until I started interacting on Facebook. And Twitter is a complete mystery to me. Lol. Thank you for the info! I’ll be referring back to this post frequently!
Stephanie says
I found that twitter is mostly advertising, and while I appreciate guest posting and guest posters both seem like no actual traffic is generated. I’d love to have just as many followers on my blog as I do on twitter or pinterest, but right this moment I’d just appreciate a small circle that actually engages with me. I feel like I’m alone, writing for only me.
Arfa Nazeer says
That’s right. Most of the time twitter reacts as an advertiser but it helps to reach out to new guest bloggers. It greatly worked for me. As you said ‘a small engaging circle’ can do big wonders for a blog, if used correctly. Stephanie, it needs time. The more you interact and show your presence on social media and other forums the more chance you’ll have to gain followers.

Great tips! Twitter and I still don’t really get along, but I have fell in love with Facebook groups! It can be very lonely and isolating feeling like you are blogging with no one seeing you or understanding. This seems especially true at the beginning, when you put things out there and no one seems to notice or care. Building relationships has helped me with that so much already and I know I still have a long way to go on that front.
Arfa Nazeer says
Good to know your views regarding the interactive groups.
Facebook groups are also so quick to grow your blog and reach to a entirely different audience.
Arfa Nazeer says
I completely agree with your views as I can relate it with. So many people have sort of same views regarding twitter. Online relationships with readers and bloggers is an amazing way to share the voices and receive the instant feedback.

Naomi Liz │Roaming the Americas says
I know people say Twitter is going downhill (and I actually used to dislike it), but I’ve found a lot of success with it in 2 ways–participating in Twitter chats, and @ mentioning any bloggers or companies in Tweets that appear in my post.
Twitter chats–a lot of bigger bloggers hold regular ones, so it’s a great way to have their full attention and have a great, fun conversation. Plus, I usually meet other interesting people.
If I give an example and link to a blogger or company in my post, I create a tweet that gives a little snippet and @ mentions them, and then I schedule all those in Hootsuite as soon as I schedule the post in WordPress. Most of the time, they at least like the tweet, and sometimes they retweet it. At the very least, it’s getting my name on their radar.
Arfa Nazeer says
The last part of your comment is a great tip for anyone who is thinking how to use twitter to build online connections. And, I also believe that people do read sometimes and often retweet as well if the content is of high-quality and is well written. Using twitter in an efficient way is helpful.
Thank you Naomi for such a useful tip.

I’ve just started to network in my niche and have found that not only is it a great way to gain more exposure and traffic for my blog through shout outs and guest posts but also great for support. Blogging is a tough road so having that community that is going through the same things or has faced the same issues can really help. It’s nice to have advice or even just a listening ear!
Arfa Nazeer says
Exactly. And, meeting the bloggers in the same niche also help in the collaboration which ultimately brings traffic and interactions.
Thank you Kassie for sharing your views.

Pinterest, Facebook groups and commenting on other blogs are things that have worked for me the best on both of my blogs. I’ve used guest blogging sites like My Guest Blog a few times, too.
Arfa Nazeer says
Glad to know that. The platforms you mentioned are of great help to every blogger. I’ve recently heard about My Guest Blog website. Is the site actually helpful in building links and the traffic? It would be great if you provide a review.

Great blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally confused ..
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Great post once again!
I used Twitter as the main advertising platform; it’s the easiest for me. Plus, I love Twitter chats, even though I need to start taking part in more. Most of the chats start when it’s time to prepare for evening meal or family time, so I miss out!
I began to use Facebook too and I noticed I do get quite a bit of traffic from Facebook when I post in a group or on my page. The only thing that puts me off about Facebook groups is that some of the group have a list of rules; it can get annoying. I’m working on Instagram and Pinterest.
Thanks for sharing.

Arfa Nazeer says
No doubt, twitter is a great tool for marketing and also to allow interaction with online bloggers. I must say, evening meal and family time are a must.
Yes, Facebook also brings traffic but it depends on how often you engage with the right audience. Rules are hard to follow but it keeps a number of members in a row. And yes, Pinterest is a great platform if followed with the right strategies. It truly brings you real traffic. Well Sabah, I also want to put my hands on Instagram.
Thankyou for sharing views.

I have never heard of Quora till you mentioned it; but I’m so glad you did! Part of my problem has been finding other bloggers in my niche to connect with. I have primarily a craft blog, so you wouldn’t think it would be hard to find others who do the same sorts of things I do. But craft blogging has further niches within niches, so I’m hoping Quora helps with the narrowing down. Thanks for these suggestions!
Arfa Nazeer says
Appreciate your comments. I’m pretty glad for creating this post.
Arfa Nazeer says
Yes, Quora is a helpful platform to seek guidance from experts. I think every blogger faces the same struggle in finding other bloggers of same niche. Pinterest will aslo help you to connect with other bloggers. I’d suggest you to ask craft related questions on Quora in order to get specific responses on your question. It will eventually assist you in building relationships with bloggers who belong to same niche.
Thankyou for commenting.
