What’s SEO?

Search Engine Optimization or SEO makes your website visible for search results. When someone uses Google and type a query, search engines immediately look for the most relevant answers. If your website is properly following what Google asks, then your website get easily ranked by search engines.

If your keyword strategy is exclusive and strong you’d probably see your content on the first page. By making notable changes to your website, you can increase organic traffic.

More organic traffic means increased traffic, subscribers, social media followers, leads and of course, sales.

If you strongly improve your blog SEO, your organic traffic will potentially increase.

I have also created valuable blog posts for maximizing blog growth and website traffic. Consider reading few posts that may be helpful for improving your blog performance.

Top 3 Free Google SEO Tools To Increase Organic Traffic

Here are top 3 Free Google SEO tools to increase organic traffic for your website. Try to use these tools, in depth, to get more advanced SEO results for your website performance.

1. Google Keyword Planner

Google Keyword Planner is the free SEO tool to find high preferred and relevant keywords for your blog. This free keyword tool helps in optimizing your website with strong keywords.

The Keywords are the focused words that people are searching on Google or other websites. In order to rank your website for Google, you’ve to pick a keyword and use it efficiently throughout the blog post.

Google Keyword Tool is mostly used for keyword suggestions and the number of times the keyword is searched online. The tool provides you a long list of keywords which you can download easily.

Sometimes, I use Google Keyword Planner too to find keywords for my blog. However, there are some other great tools to find keywords. Some of the other awesome tools are SEMRush, Ahrefs, and KWFinder.

In order to make your blog SEO strong, first, find out keywords. Then, use the Free Google Keyword Planner to search for the keywords that have a high traffic volume but low competition.

After doing a research for your blog post ideas and keywords, you need to implement the keyword in your blog post.

I’ve discussed all the tips in the post ‘Winning SEO tips to rank your blog on Google’. This post also covers the section of using Google Keyword Tool to find the keywords.

2. Google Search Console

I personally love this free Google SEO tool.

Google Search Console can actually boost your SEO rankings. It’s basically a free SEO tool that helps to learn about your website in detail and the audience who visit it. By using the tool, you can find how people are finding your website content, and which pages are most viewed. Google Search Console also helps to find out errors and fix them. It is used for website optimization.

Basically, your website can’t live without this amazingly powerful tool.

Before you start using the tool, you have to add and submit your website for verification.

  • First, log in to your Google search Console account.
  • Enter the URL of your website and click ‘Add Property’
  • Last, you have to verify the site by placing the HTML code within the head section.

There are some other alternative methods for verification. You can select the easiest method for verification. After that, you’ll have to add sitemaps etc.

Some of the great benefits of using Google Search Console are;

  • You can find out how your site appears in Google search engine results.
  • Common errors like title tags, duplicate content are easily identified.
  • The search engine section reveals the information as total clicks, impressions, position etc
  • You can determine the most popular pages, queries, countries etc.
  • The number of links to your site.
  • Google index
  • Crawl errors

3. Google Analytics

I’m sure Google analytics is one of your favorite tools. Google analytics allows you to monitor the website traffic. It helps to track the efficiency of the site. By using reports, you can identify most popular posts and where your traffic is coming from.

You’re putting out efforts in writing a perfect blog post but don’t know whether it’s attracting the audience or not. This is where Google analytics jumps in.

It’s not just limited to collect the statistics of the website but it’s an advanced SEO tool which helps to find out the performance of your SEO campaign.

Some wonderful advantages of using Google analytics for your website are;

  • It shows you who visits your website. The data of visitors is huge. You can find out user’s geographical area, the language they speak, their country, the device they are using etc.
  • It basically helps to gain insights into your visitor’s behavior.
  • The tool automatically collects data and prepare a report for you.
  • It tracks how long visitors stay on your website, how many pages they visit, what page cause them to leave the site etc.
  • You can actually find out what’s working on your site, and what’s not. It thus directs you what steps you have to take to improve your site.
  • It’s totally free and easy to integrate.

Hello, thank you for the amazing post. I am already doing many of your ideas, but I hadn’t done the Google Keywords Planner. You mention that it is a free tool but when I went to start an account it didn’t seem to give me a “free” option. Is there another option on The Keyword Planner that I did not see?

    Hi Liz,

Thanks for following my content. Google keyword also allows to create paid ad campaigns etc. But, if you click ‘tools’ icon on the left side of the window, you will find keyword planner on the right side. Click to that, and you will be able to access the keywords and their estimate value, search etc. It’s all free.
